You need a Ethernet cable. You plug one end into the network adapter, you plug the other end into a Cable modem. Then just put the start up disc in and follow the instructions.

If you want both your computer and playstation on at the same time you will need a router.

If you have a phone line (56k) don’t even bother because they don’t even make games for that anymore, only broadband.
